Little Kittycat opened his eyes from an afternoon nap. He proceeded to the wake-up routine he established within his small life : stretch his legs and neck, quickly wash his paws, wash anywhere that needed some cleaning, get off the box (or the Giant Men’s bed when he was lucky) and go get himself some biscuits and water. But on his way to the platters, Little Kittycat noticed a new visitor.
A new Giant Man? No. Nothing of their size. As Little Kittycat froze in place and turned his stare to the stranger, they did the same. Five seconds of nothing. Then he raised a paw. Lowered it down. Raised up and down. Turned his head sideways, the
Little Kittycat was his name. Little Kittycat is an eight month old kitten who shall soon grow up to become a Big Kittycat, but will forever remain little to the eyes of his owners. He called them the Giant Men. One of the Giant Men, the Red Man, knelt down to Little Kittycat to rub his neck. Red Man was a female with a head hidden by a long mane of a strange, vibrant red. But behind her supernatural look, Red Man was the kindest of all the Giant Men. She gave him food, petted him, took him in her warm furless arms and even played with him sometimes.
But today, Red Man rubbed his neck a bit then walked away.
